Welcome to our cruising blog.  We are very excited about the new life style that we are about to undertake.  For the past year or so, we have been preparing for our foray into the boating world and have done hours of research and training.  We bought our boat without much experience on the water and have spent the better part of the last 18 months getting up to speed.  

Two weeks from today, we embark on our maiden voyage as we depart our temporary home at Great Bridge, Virginia and make our way south to our new home in South Florida.  We expect that this voyage will take the better part of 2009 as we will be making many stops along the way.  We hope that you will join us as we share our experiences in what is shaping up to be a memorable journey.
